Developing knowledge into confidence

Students needn’t put up with finding things difficult, they might just need to see things differently. Tuition can help unlock their potental.

In-Person Tuition

This kind of tuition allows the student to feel comfortable learning at their own pace in their own home.

This is suitable for primary, secondary and A-Level students in mainstream education. It can also support learners preparing for the Eleven-Plus examinations, Key Stage 2 SATs exams, and for adult education.

With large class sizes often exceeding 30 students, it’s difficult for teachers to give each student one-to-one support during lessons. Personal tuition gives focused, individual support based on the needs of the child, with physical resources, visual aids and worksheets provided.

Online Tuition

Students can enjoy the benefits of tailored, individual online support by logging into their devices conveniently from their own home, via their prefered video conferencing tools.

This is also suitable for primary, secondary and A-Level students in mainstream education, as well as Eleven-Plus examinations, SATs preparation and adult education.

Each session focuses on specific topics, either requested by the student or following assessed requirements. Students will build their confidence by exploring topics, identifying difficulties and misconceptions and applying practice and positive steps to make improvements.

Exam Revision

Tuition tends to become more popular as exam season approaches, but if sought early tuition can really benefit a student’s feeling of readiness and confidence. Successful revision strategies and techniques aimed at specific exam boards help students use their time more effectively and avoid the panic of last-minute cramming.

Regular use of exam questions and familiarising themselves with mark schemes that examiners use to assess them are really valuable ways to revise and improve technique.

Exam revision can help with the following:

Adult Education

Whether needing to gain qualifications for a new job, access higher level training programmes or simply developing latent skills hidden away with a sense of curiosity, many adults decide to revisit education for a number of reasons. I have plenty of experience in supporting this transition, and would be delighted to discuss any queries.

This include Foundational Skills qualifications some employers and courses demand for new entrants, as well as musical instrument skills for guitar and bass guitar guitar.
